Just In Time
BUZZ-8028
In the wonderful world of Big Industry there is a darling expression: "Just In Time Delivery". Meaning that all stuff should be delivered to the assembly plant in exactly the right moment. No spares collecting dust on the stockroom shelves nor collecting interest in the ledgers. No sir, everything right on time!
This very CD is a bonafide "Just In Time Delivery". The trip has been long - perhaps the bus has swerved a couple of times - but now it's all delivered. The bus started rolling sometime back in 1998 and it never stopped. It crisscrossed Sweden, making stops at restaurants, pubs (I'm talking gigs here!), blues society concerts, festivals. The last few years it even crossed some borders, making forays into Norway and Denmark. They didn't always travel alone. Autumn 2001 they toured with U.S. vocalist and harpist Keith Dunn for two weeks, a musician from the world of Ronnie Earl and Roomful of Blues.
Blue Delivery is simply oozing blues - blues of the Chicago variety from the 40's, 50's, 60's. Sometimes crossing over into jump blues or some r&b stuff. Think Howlin' Wolf, Muddy Waters, Little Walter, John Brim, Jimmy Rogers, Slim Harpo...
